· Just how ludicrous are things in Washington, D.C.? Here’s a good take from Tucker Carlson. Watch the whole 13 minutes. The first thing you notice walking around D.C. is that everyone, and I mean everyone, is wearing masks. Walking outside, bicycling, tossing a football…they are all masked. I actually had a “Karen” call me out on the National Mall for being unmasked, and I wasn’t within 40 yards of another person. I “politely” told her she needed a life. Sometimes hand signals are useful when you’re too far away for voice communications.
The Smithsonian Museums are closed, so you’re pretty much confined to the outdoor memorials.
As you near the Capitol, you realize just how bad it is. The whole are is enclosed by twelve-foot fencing topped by razor wire. That’s right, the stuff we used in Vietnam to keep the Viet Cong from going over the fences. National Guardsmen are stationed every 15 feet or so. To get through, you have to be escorted by a staffer of whomever you are visiting. Don’t even think of having Uber drop you off at the Russell Senate Bldg. You get escorted through the fence and then walk about a half mile to get to the entrance. I had a meeting with one of my Senators, Sen. Hagerty, and I was boiling by the time I got to his office. I suggested to him that he and all his colleagues should be screaming 24/7 and pointing out the hypocrisy of what is going on like Sen. Johnson is doing. I was very impressed with Sen. Hagerty and am glad he is representing Tennessee in the Senate. He is a solid guy who appears to have his head screwed on tight and I look forward to seeing what he can accomplish.
As Americans, we should be incensed that the Democrats are using a fairly minor disturbance to try and paint a totally false narrative of a Capitol under siege. I think most of us are smarter than that and see through the bulls**t. The Dopeler Effect is hard at work, as it seems to be a requirement that the Democrats all use the word “insurrection” when referring to the events of January 6th. No one who has bothered to follow up on the available reports buys that unless they are surrounded by the Bozone Layer. No weapons were confiscated, and the only person killed was an unarmed woman who was breaking a glass pane in the door to the Senate Office Bldg. and was shot by a panicked Capitol Police Officer. The lies all propagated by the Democrats and their acolytes in the media have been debunked. There were no mobs roaming the buildings looking for people to kill. No Capitol Police Officers were murdered by being hit with a fire extinguisher. Enough is enough!
While I was there, our President, who is apparently on loan from Madame Tussaud’s Wax Museum, held a “virtual” press conference. He mistakenly went off script at the end and asked for questions. His handlers quickly cut the feed rather than run the risk that someone might actually ask something other that what his favorite ice-cream is. In case you think we are actually dealing with intelligent life forms, I suggest you watch this clip of Speaker Pelosi. May be the vodka talking, don’t know.
