  • Say what? I’m not sure that the statement that Muslim Americans “built the very fabric of our nation” is very factually correct.

  • If you’re female and tend to be happy and outgoing, maybe Turkey shouldn’t be very high on your list of places to visit. One of Erdogan’s ministers has come out with the bone-headed statement that honest women should not laugh in public. I guess it’s OK for dishonest ones to show mirth.

  • Bizarre situation in Pittsburgh as topless woman jumps into middle of street fight and stabs and slashes three people then disappears. For some reason no one could give a description of her face. At least she wasn’t laughing.

  • Not sure I should even comment on this one. Two older guys in Chicago robbed a pharmacy and made off with all the viagra. Rumor is that their petrified wives called the robbery hotline and turned them in.

  • It is fast becoming impossible to find anywhere that hasn’t been affected by the unmitigated invasion taking place on our borders. I’m betting that this is going to be a big issue in about two months when we head to the polls.

  • I took the final part of the three part CFA exam in 1985. It was hard enough then, but I’d hate to have to take it again. People taking Part I had a 42% pass rate last year and those taking Part II had a 46% pass rate. Fewer than 20% of those going through the three year program pass all three tests the first time. The results for this year are due out today, so we’ll see how they stack up.

  • CareerBliss’ list of jobs that can make you happy and rich. I couldn’t find Independent Financial Commentator and Writer on the list. What’s up with that?

  • Business Insider tends to have a lot of B.S. articles to wade through to get to the decent stuff. This is one of them. The 22 Websites Every Modern Gentleman Should Bookmark. 90-95% waste of time. You only need about two. Try Brooks Brothers and Progressive Shoe Store in Pontotoc, MS. I’ve used Progressive for over 20 years and can vouch for them without hesitation. If you can find better prices on Allen Eddmonds, J&M or Cole Haan I’ll be amazed.

  • Now Ron Paul has weighed in. Not to disparage his intellect, but I think I’ll take my cue from other sources.

  • I commented on Marc Faber’s latest call for gloom, doom, despair and agony on me. Here is a look at his past calls. It’s like an album of greatest hits. The Best Gloom and Doom Calls from Marc Faber.

  • This is outrageous and it’s a trend that’s disturbing. The Department of Homeland Security has at times seemed like a domestic police force that is out of control and unanswerable to anyone but themselves.
