  • I’ll just link this editorial from Investors.com and let you make up your own mind. My outrage is such that I probably don’t need to share my thoughts with you. Never mind. On second thought here’s what I recommend. A full convoy of the Screaming Eagles, the 101st Airborne Division, accompanied by Abrams Tanks, and air cover provided by Apaches and Warthogs should cross the border at San Diego and drive straight to the jail where Marine SGT Andrew Tahmooressi is being held. Pick him up and bring him home. What do you think the odds are that a single Mexican policeman or soldier would raise a finger to stop them? And how many members of the U.S. Armed Forces do you think would volunteer for this mission?

Or…you want diplomacy instead? Here’s a solution that doesn’t involve the U.S. Military. President Obama should send a letter by special messenger to Mexican President Enrique Peña Nieto stating the following: “Until SGT Tahmooressi is released from the hellhole you are holding him in and repatriated the following will be in effect. Not one cent of American money will be spent on food stamps, welfare payments, education, healthcare or any other service provided to the millions of illegal immigrants who have poured across our borders. Let me know when SGT Tahmooressi crosses the border. Best regards, the President of the United States.”

  • Here’s someone who is probably more bearish on Gold than I am. Ned Davis Research commodities strategist John LaForge says Gold is going to $660 an ounce. Better hock that Rolex Presidential while you can still get a good price.
