In The News:
Tweet of the Day: From my son who often nails it.
I suggested he might add that Tide Pods are not part
of the Food Pyramid.
Great Memorial Day. 96 year-old WWII veteran
Pete Dupre played the National Anthem on a harmonica to thunderous applause.
I might rephrase this headline. From CNN: Angela
Merkel warns against dark forces on the rise in Europe. A friend of mine
suggested that the better title for the piece might be: Forces of light
exposing dark globalist establishment.
I talked about this yesterday. Interesting
update on the New York Times
concern over the indictment of Julian Assange and what it might mean for
newspapers like them and the Washington
Post leaking classified information. Why the worry? Glenn Greenwald of the
Washington Post writes: The
indictment of Assange is a blueprint for making journalists into felons.
An author who described himself as “barely a
journalist” and said he believes his job “has nothing to do with truth” has published
a sequel to his 2018 bestseller, Fire and
Fury, that was riddled with untruths and inaccuracies. His new book’s major
premise has been flatly denied by team Mueller.
Beto refers to himself as “a
giant asshole” and his road manage, Cynthia Cano nods in agreement. Finally,
he’s said something that most people can agree with. I’d sure like to see this
guy rising in the polls instead of falling, but he looks like yesterday’s news
that even fawning coverage by the media couldn’t overcome.
This is something I want to see. On
Wednesday night Trish Regan of Fox Business News and Liu Xin from China
Global Television Network will face off to argue on behalf of their respective
governments about tariffs and technology. Ought to be good.
Oh Goody! I was so hoping for the involvement of
someone who I could look to for guidance. Taylor
Swift Promises to Get ‘Political’ in Upcoming Music. She had such an impact
on Tennessee’s Senatorial election, helping to defeat former governor Phil
Bredesen by her endorsement of him.
This makes perfect sense. Media
Worried About Leaking of Dossier Sources After Leaking Dossier Sources. As I’ve
said, we’re going to need plenty of popcorn before this is over. Sen. Lindsey
Graham 2.0 suggests that Obama
officials may be worried about being ‘exposed’ by declassification. You
think? They are sure doing a lot of finger pointing as they try to throw each
other under the bus. A CNN poll, yes CNN, shows that 69% of U.S. citizens, an
overwhelming majority, think
Congress ought to investigate the origins of the Justice Department’s inquiry
into Russian interference in the 2016 election. What is interesting is that
76% of Democrats polled felt that way. Not to worry. Atty. Gen. Barr is on it. Not
surprisingly, Christopher Steele, the fake spy at the center of the dossier
controversy, is refusing
to cooperate with U.S. Attorney John Durham in his investigation into the
origins of “Spygate.” My guess is that if he ever wants to visit the U.S.
again, he might reconsider.
So far Australia, Great Britain, Italy, France, and
Germany has seen surprises at the polls. Now
Poland may be following suit. There seems to be a worldwide shift to the
right taking place. I wonder what in the world could be causing this trend?
Probably the same thing that caused the U.S. to elect Trump, total disgust with
the government elites who think; it is their right to govern while ignoring the
wishes of their constituencies. This graph of the British election results
might give those ignoring fixing our out of control situation at our Southern
border pause. 2020 could be a reckoning.
Tough day for creepy porn lawyer Avenatti. Two
arraignments for stealing from clients and trying to blackmail Nike. His
prospects for the Democratic nomination for president are looking more and more
unlikely, much to the chagrin of those who championed his ascendance.
Watch it to see a parade of liberals making a fool of themselves. ROTFLMAO!
This week’s update on the Democratic Presidential Clown
Car. Biden continues to lap the field, even while making very few
appearances to avoid the inevitable gaffes. This is a weekly post, and
typically very long, but also the single best place to keep up with what’s
going on in the lead-up to the Democratic debates and primaries. Related. New
York Magazine struggles to find a single New Yorker who wants De Blasio
to be President. Ouch!
