Sorry, I don’t agree that this is “virulently
racist or indicative of “outright hostility toward Muslims”. It clarifies
something that has been an absolute nightmare in the United Kingdom. In the
recent midterm election the voters in Alabama voted by a wide margin on Alabama Statewide Amendment 1 which preemptively bans the application of
Sharia Law. I have no problem with it.
Speaking of the above, how about this ridiculous item. The Montgomery County school district has
taken Christmas off the calendar after complaints from Muslim co-chair of the
Equality for Eid, Saqib Ali. Apparently CAIR isn’t happy about it either. Tough
_ _ _ _.
Swedish study finds that the risk of brain cancer
triples with long-term cell phone use. This sounds alarming when phrased “odds triple” as opposed to
saying the odds go from 0.005% to 0.016%, which is fairly infinitesimal.
The TSA Pre-Check program has been great. I no
longer have to undress when going
through airport security. There could be problems, though, which doesn’t surprise me since TSA
is involved. They have proven to be one of the more overbearing and incompetent
of the federal bureaucracies.
Don’t think this would happen many places other
than Eau Claire. The school district cancelled its Veterans Day Program over an irrational fear of the 21-gun
salute. The program was moved to the
local Burger King which apparently is not worried about an honor guard firing
blanks in honor of those who have given their lives in defense of their
country. I suggest we all go have a Whopper for lunch today.
This is an interesting article on Bloomberg about Obamacare and the process
of getting it through Congress. It’s a long read but a good one and some folks
wish this guy would go away.
Just a heads up. Apple can’t keep up with demand for the new iPhone 6’s.
This is pretty good advice from an ex-Navy Seal. A lot people who get into trouble or become
victims due so because of their lack of situational awareness. In this day and
time, everyone should try to develop a better sense of situational awareness.
It’s something I’ve preached to my sons in an effort to keep them safe when I’m
not there to shoot whoever is threatening them.
you supposedly need to set up your home bar. It’s a lot of stuff, some of it
very useful for a person who wishes to be the compleat bartender. Of course for
those who are more purists, all you really need is a glass and a bottle of good
single malt Scotch.
If there is one consequence of the recent
political bloodbath that just took place, I hope this is it. Hold the I.R.S. accountable and enforce contempt resolutions.
