According
to our incoherent nitwit of a Vice President, “The Border Is Secure.” That was her claim on Democratic
operative Chuck Todd’s Meet the Press show on Sunday. You might think that she
would have been prepared for that question, but you would be wrong. As Scott
Johnson so aptly says, “She is a glorified idiot one heartbeat away from the
job currently occupied by the guy with half a mind to be president.”

Prince
Charles is now King Charles III. He’s still, unfortunately, a nitwit
climatista, and not known as an intellectual giant, but in his favor is the
fact that his favorite whisky is supposedly Laphroaig 15, so I’ll cut him a
modicum of slack. I believe he is the oldest king ever to ascend the throne. He
has some large shoes to fill and hopefully he will devote himself to ceremonial
and patriotic endeavors and leave the activism to the other nitwits.

As
I’ve said, when you take your energy policy from politicians and teenagers it
may not work out so well. After all but appointing Greta Thunberg as Eurozone
energy secretary, European governments and citizens
are gearing up for a worsening energy crisis. California is trying their best to keep up with
them. And they laughed when President Trump warned them what would happen.
Idiots! This is a very good synopsis of what is going on in Europe and
how it affects domestic natural gas prices, which have risen from under $2/MMBTU
to nearly $9 right now.

This
just doesn’t fit the anti=gun narrative. A survey shows that defensive gun use is four times
more common than violent gun crime.

Meanwhile
the incompetents managing American energy policy are considering extending oil releases from the
Strategic Petroleum Reserve past election day. After all, it is only sitting at 40-year lows and
the Democrats are potentially looking at a major bloodbath in November. The
Biden administration just blocked oil drilling leases on
almost 60,000 acres
in South Dakota, North Dakota and Montana. Quote from US Oil & Gas Assoc.
Chief, Tim Stewart, “most unfavorable political and
regulatory environment for our industry I have ever seen.”

Revolutionary Drinking: A Day-Long
Experiment in Colonial Boozing. Hilarious! Our forefathers were known to take a drink…or two.
George Washington’s expense account for the Revolutionary War included
an amazing amount for fortified wines. Washington refused any salary for
leading the Continental Army, asking only that Congress pay his expenses.
George Washington: “As to pay, sir, I beg leave to
Assure the Congress that a no pecuniary consideration could have tempted me to
have accepted this Arduous employment (at the expense of my domesttic (sic)
ease and happiness) I do not wish to make any Proffit (sic) from it. I will
keep an exact Account of my expenses. Those I double not they will discharge,
and that is all I desire.”
For the eight years of the war against British
tyranny, General Washington turned in an expense account of $449, 261.51. When
he offered the same deal to the country after his first election as President –
no salary, but only expenses – Congress turned George Washington down flat. I
highly recommend the book.

Assure the Congress that a no pecuniary consideration could have tempted me to
have accepted this Arduous employment (at the expense of my domesttic (sic) ease

If
you are a certain age, like mine, you grew up on Red Skelton. For those of you
who aren’t familiar with him, this is an appearance on the Tonight Show with Johnny Carson. He was a class
act.
