  • An interesting critique of Presidential speeches. Over time they seem to have been dumbed down for obvious reasons. Back in the day when one had to be a landowner to vote, Presidential speeches were given as if the Predident was speaking to men of equal intellectual capabilities. Now we’re lucky if we can find a man on the street who even knows who the Vice President is. (Hint: his first name rhymes with “slow”)

  • Did someone say “sell in January and go away?” With Friday’s close we are now below where we started the year on the DJIA. The S&P 500 is still up 3.7% and the NASDAQ is up 2.4%.

  • The French are learning that some of their most productive citizens are voting with their feet at the prospect of 75% progressive taxes.

  • I love the Jimmy Kimmel “man on the street” interviews. Here’s one on the subject of GMO’s.

  • I’m not sure this is what MoveOn or MAYDAY.US, two well-known liberal groups intended when they announced their contest. American Commitment, a conservative group, decided to enter and with about 4 days to run they are way ahead. LOL. The video has over 2,000 votes while number two is somewhere around 300.
